First, he wins all the games upon his return, knocking Indi out of the first slot. We are there. Peyton demands a trade from the team (just b/c). We get him him for next year's first round pick. We sign Reggie Wayne as a free agent. With the 1st pick we take Luck. It's a plan!

Steve Smith will probably burn them, burn them all to the ground. Quite frankly, a part of me hopes that they lose out completely so that lucky bastard Bill Polian can have a tainted mark on his resume.

True, but Titans is home and the colts know them well. The Texans lost their QB for the year, so I wouldn't be surprised. Also the Ravens have been losing to bad teams.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
We tried the veteran QB route and failed.
We tried the retread route with Beck and Grossman and failed. You have to think (hope) that plan C, drafting a rookie, is up next. |

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Although I strongly disagree with your idea of try once and fail, give up on the idea altogether, I strongly agree that I hope drafting a rookie is next (only if the right rookie is there....people don't realize how rare it is to get a quality qb in the draft. There couldn't be more than 15 of them in the league, thats like 1.5 of them drafted every year)

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
Indi 0 / 10
Carolina 2 / 7 Miami 2 / 7 Minn 2 / 7 Jax 3 / 6 Phili 3 / 6 Cleve 3 / 6 Gotta believe w/out dissecting each schedule that Minn, Phili, Miami, Jax, and Carolina will win some more games. Not sure w/ Indi, Cleve. We'll most likely w/ a couple more games too. Maybe. I say we're top 5 or real close though. Out of that group there are only a few that needs a QB: Miami Cleve-maybe Indi would draft Luck anyways most likely. I think we'll be in a good position. |

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012
The way I look at a trading the farm for a QB like Luck is this. Could you trade the players you would have drafted with those picks for Luck. So for example we tried to trade two first round picks for Jay Cutler back in 09 which turned into Orakpo and Williams. Would Chicago accept a trade today if we were to offer them Orakpo and Williams. Of course it's not the best system considering that teams have certain positions that are set and system issues but the general point remains the same.
Anyway I think we should all look very closely at Leinart these next few games. He has no Andre Johnson and a good defense. Somewhat similar situation to what he would have here. I'm also curious to see if anyone has an idea of how Flynn would fit into our system.
