DJax does force Ds to commit resources to stopping him. But he's going to want big money, might clash with Shanahan, and since Kyle is still yearning to recreate the Texans' O, I'd rather commit the big bucks to a guy like Bowe instead.

Who will instill heart into this team? You can't teach speed and you can't make a coward a hero....I have never seen so many talented cowards on a roster in my life.

DJ in this offense could be ideal. Grubbs is probably the best free agent Olineman available. There is another guard in Orleans who could become available who is very solid, i think Grubbs is better though. Grubbs would be great add.

Thanks for the update SS.
Carl Nicks I think is the guy you're talking about. I suppose he's a possibility.

I don't know what happened to our interest in Vincent Jackson, but I haven't heard anything in months,

Some seem to believe Bowe is a possibility, but I've got more people telling me Colston.

Personally, I would rather not go after any of the FA WRs

Is there any interest in free agent o-lineman the FO is going to chase this year?

Grubbs is the only name I've heard, but I'm sure there are more.

As far as FAs, I'd be tempted to go hard after Rice or Forte

Ok, RB is the only position that A) we don't Really need B) is something we can get in the draft C) is what shanahan is known for getting in late rounds/UDFA

So no, even though they are great players. Forte I feel like if he got paid he'd be lazy anyway.

And can you please Repeat what you said a few weeks back about how you heard that we are NOT interested in Matt Barkley, the QB from USC. Nor should we be since A) he's flat footed B) he's still young and needs another season to mature C) He's not that accurate D) he's playing with talent that makes him look better than he is E) he's a USC QB; they aren't your top QB's in the NFL, they're just solid (Sanchez-ok, Palmer-decent, Leinart-bust, Cassel-decent [didn't even play at USC])

I'd say pretty much everything your saying (except for A and C...but I'm no scout, I can't say for or against these) is really that credible of an argument. "B"-needs another year to mature? You either have talent or you don't, spending another year in college isn't going to make him any better then spending a year on the bench in the pros. "D"-Didn't USC have a ton of their top players transfer, have significant recruiting restrictions, and get their 7th choice for head coach? USC might historically do that, but today I'd say their talent level isn't elite, hell they're not even ranked this year. "E"- The fact that USC has 3 starting qbs in the nfl means they're pretty good with qbs. I agree none of them are elite, but it's irrelevant either way because along those lines of reason Luck won't be any good because Stanford doesn't have any elite (or any) QB's in the nfl.

If Niles Paul can even be a no. 3 within a year, I think we're going to be okay at WR. We don't have an in house no. 2 to replace an incresingly ineffective Moss, but we do have the luxury of time. That's not a spot we'll have to address in 2012, if Hankerson can continue this production against better defenses.

Re: Build the Redskins for 2012

I wouldn't bring in D.Jax. He's got headcase written all over him, and I've had enough of headcase free agents bringing their talents to DC. The talent is not worth the headache, and I think that applies in his case. I wouldn't bring in Colston either, as aforementioned, those health problems scare me away. Ben Grubbs is someone I'd agree with, but who does he replace, Chester or Lich? I'd replace Chester personally, just stick him at a backup role, but for the money we're paying him I'd want him to take a pay cut, which idk if he'd go for.

No more signing guys like Jackson and Bowe. Suck it up and deal with sucking until we find our own.

Lol it's an opinion more Redskins fans should have. We're going to suck regardless.

I doubt we will suck as much as people think next yr. If we draft a Qb and horde lineman, things should click pretty quick for us. I could see us 8-8 or 9-7 next year.

We have a difficult schedule next year, but it's doable.
