Even if McNabb did work out, how long did they realistically expect to have him for? Only team in the NFL last year without at least one QB under 28 years old, if I recall correctly.

He had to have one QB on the roster that had prior experience on the system. I think his biggest mistake so far was the McNabb trade, but it is what it is.
