They can't be so stupid to let him walk away, at least trade him if it's possible after they franchise him.

Don't break the bank for him but he's a valuable piece to the defense when healthy.

We gotta start keeping our players. If the price is a reasonable deal that fits what he's done. Sign him and cross that off the list.

Yeah exactly. Just ask Carlos Rodgers aka the number 3 interception leader in the league.... PRIOR to his game tonight.

Carlos Rogers refused to agree to a reasonable deal and got his panties all wet that we didn't give him a sympathy contract. Overpaying for players is overpaying for players, regardless of whether that player was one of your own or not.

Yeah i agree. I just would have loved to kept Carlos, but definitely not at any price. And the exact same is true for LL. And like IR Mitch above, no way he should get top 5 money safety money. But i dont think we should ever low ball our own player. I would also give a player we drafted or developed a slight premium.

Bad example. Looks to me he is earning the money he got.

He's earning it now because his FA experience "woke him up". We give him a 8 million for 4 years, and he'll be the same old 'Los because he thought that his previous level of play was plenty enough to get that 8 million.

Re: Laron Landry - Redskin for life?

I definitely dont think hes worth a franchise tag, but im all for bringing him back i mean were not going to find anyone better then him for his spot and our safety position is already pretty weak. Im wondering if he just needs to pop his acl and get it fixed for good though

I'd let him walk if we're looking at top 5 safety dollars, otherwise you gotta keep your own. It's just how it has to be.

Don't overpay for this guy. He hasn't shown enough to be worthy of being kept for the big bucks like Chris Samuels was. His Achilles better be fixed up right as well.

Imagining our team with no more of Area-51 just seems impossible to me..

Re: Laron Landry - Redskin for life?

He didnt get a chance to ever get 100% this year.

We NEED to resign Landry theres no doubt.
If we let him go WHOEVER we start there next year will be a DOWNGRADE... I guarentee it... if you think im wrong tell me who you have as our starter.. a rookie?... we have so many offensive issues letting him go and adding saftey to our draft needs is ludacris.

Landry needs to get healthy. Like full surgery, rest up, take a few months to recover. This half ass rehab isn't cutting it
