not to mention ignoring the second partof my statement, how do u suppose we sign these ppl? face it, we're not going to get any better at the position Landry is it for us. so back him, dont trash him. he's IMO alot better than you and others give him credit for.

Re: Laron Landry - Redskin for life?

What we need to do is wait until some highly touted, once every twenty years he comes along phenom at FS is available in the draft. Do absolutely nothing at the FS position, hope that Landry has some career threatening injury before the summer before said phenom is available and then just sit back and let the losses roll in while then grab that stud FS with the first overall pick in the subsequent draft.

That's how you plan a winner!!!

In all seriousness, Landry frustrates the hell out of me. His speed is ridiculous, as is his strength...unfortunately, his fundamentals are a bit ridiculous too

To be sure sacrificing one season for a once-every-other-decade phenom QB is a no-brainer, but I'm not sure about safety SS? For one thing most safeties just don't have the longevity because of the toll that position takes on the body.

Can't agree on Landry's speed. He looks a step or two behind much of the time to me, which could be groin or aquilles but nonetheless it means the same thing to his on field performance.

About sums it up for me too. He's a 5 year vet but doesn't show it much. In fairness to him, his 2010 season was derailed by his achilles, had he stayed healthy he might have a contract already as he was having quite a year.

Yeah but he also decided to pass on having surgery which could have healed his achilles

I didn't know about this. What was the motivation to skip surgery?

He chose to do some blood spinning thing instead. Why? I don't know

What 2nd part of your statement?

No sorry I don't believe you actually watch the guys on the list, especially the three I mentioned in the follow up post, because there's really no comparison...Landry just isn't playing to nearly that level.

Per the Troy/Ryan duo I think there's a strong argument it's also Ryan allowing Troy to make the plays he does, as in they compliment each other very well. The insinuation you made that Ryan wouldn't be a great safety w/o Troy again shows you're not really paying attention to what these guys do on the field (let alone the stats).

LOL on the watching every game every week though! Sorry you're unemployed I guess ??
