I'd say there is .00001% chance Manning will be with the Redskins next year.

What the owner says and what the owner does is two different things. I wouldn't put much stock into a owner saying anything really. If he can save 28 million, he's going to do it. I think it all hinges on Manning's health really. If he's healthy, I believe the Colts keep him one more year while drafting Luck (if they have the #1) at the same time.

If they cut him, it makes you wonder about the true state of his health.

I agree though, I don't see Manning as a Redskin unless RGIII stays, the Rams don't get the #1 spot, the Colts cut Manning and he's completely 100% healthy. This is about the only realistic scenario I see him as a Skin.

I'll just go ahead and tell you guys since it seems to be a false rumor anyway. Well not a false rumor but one that's not such a big deal, plus it's the holidays. One of the guys I was talking about was Jimmy Clausen.

But from doing a bit more gathering, it seems like that would be more of a due diligence "how can you not at least consider the option, especially if it costs us nothing" move

But I'll keep the other name quiet a little longer. It would be potentially be a franchise altering move.
