I I don't think any of the significant guys deserve to go yet. 3 year minimum to get the right pieces. But if say Haslett goes, please, oh please lord, don't go get a guy that runs a 4/3 and set us back two more years.

Re: Coaching Changes
As long as Shanny is here we are running a 3-4. That's why he brought Haslett here in the first place. He's not going anywhere.

Re: Coaching Changes
I don't think you guys are looking at this the right way ,....if JH goes it might be for another job ....not that he's getting the ax.He has HC experience and there might be offers out there he is interested in.

Re: Coaching Changes
I can't agree any stronger with the need for consistency on this team. Of Shanny said give years let's give it five years. If anyone needs a change in coaching its the giants!

Re: Coaching Changes
Wait... your saying some team out there is interested in Haslett? with Gruden and many others out there who should be taken first? ... or is Gruden waiting for the Giants position to open up?

Re: Coaching Changes
Tom is a good coach, don't get me wrong, but it seems that since the super bowl year the team does the same exact thing year after years...they never hit it big with a 12 win season. It always seems as though they either collapse at the end of the year or just pull it out. If you ask me, Tom is coaching for his job on Sunday.

Umm, outside of NY-ville many rumors are cough, cough, Coughlin's job is on the line. Honestly I wouldn't get rid of him cause I think he has done a decent job in NY, maybe not recently but he's doing the best he can with what he has. It still is better then what the Skins have. But to answer your question? yes. MS should be given his whole 5 yrs cause Cerrato had 10 yrs to make it what it is now so giving a HC 5 yrs to fix what our old GM took 10 yrs to ruin is not uncalled for. Besides, the longer your in ruin the longer it will take to fix the problem. The Giants were not in too bad a shape prior to Coughlin so when he came in he didn't have to do too much to right the ship. Shanahan has basically had to "rebuild" even though he has denied wishing to use the "rebuild" word. |

Unless the argument is that Vinny was ruining the Redskins while subservient to Joe Gibbs, in which case, I guess I don't understand the point.

If Mike was truly being evaluated for his performance over the last two years he's 1) the worst HC over the two year period to NOT be fired and 2) the HC most responsible for his team's failures.

Offensively I like the scheme, I like the starters, I like the back ups who have done admirably filling in, and basically think we need a QB, and WR and maybe 1 or 2 OL. I guess I'm just a positive person and seem to get let down each year but I'm always ... maybe next year. On a side note I was looking at the magazine rack recently wishing the draft magazine's and the other NFL magazines were out. lol. Pretty bad that I get all hyped up more for the magazines at this point. lol. |
