Blackmon is a stud. If he fell to us at #6 I'd have no problem with taking him.

Interesting you and I agree on something, as we hardly ever do. Given your agreement on Blackmon, what QB would you target in the 2nd round (if thats what we do) or would you target a FA if the price was decent.

Or with the possible available FA WR, would you go after one of them aggressively and move up to get one of the QB's.

How about Flynn in free agency and Blackmon with #6? Hell, I like what someone else said about getting both Flynn AND RGIII. If they both pan out, great! We'll have a player that could garner multiple first round picks one day.

I could see us trading back up to grab Tannehill late in the 1st based on what SS has said.

Of the available FA WRs honestly none of them thrill me. Bowe talent wise is probably the big catch but I'm not really a huge fan of his.

Yeah I agree with Tannehill. He has played well all season, like his arm and ability to make all of the throws a NFL QB is required to throw. Played in a big time conference with major competition. I like the possibilty of Blackmon and Tannehill, or if Blackmon is gone...Alshon Jeffries from S. Car. He is a stud as well, just not the speed of Blackmon. Alshon is probably more realistic with the 6th pick. Carolina to me will probably take him or St Louis.

I dont see how Carolina can pass on him. With Newton those two could be a tandem for years. Plus Steve Smith has lobbied for years to get a #1 WR, that he'd be happy as a #2. (hard to believe)

The only problem I'd have with taking him is that it would mean that we once again are settling at the QB position. For me, anything less than Luck or RGIII out of this draft will be a huge disappointment.

Seems that the word is they are very high on Tannehill to begin with, so it really wouldn't be settling if they were getting their guy in the end.

Moving up to grab Luck or RGIII is going to be costly, and what if Cleveland is fine with sitting there and taking RGIII? I'm not even really thinking about Luck. Just doesn't seem possible.

We've heard "the word is they are very high on..." before.

The front office, or Fred Davis and Trent Williams?

In terms of settling, I'm referring to someone who is on the 2nd tier of QB prospects. Luck and RGIII are considered elite prospects. Tannehill, Jones and Foles are all considered next tier or below. To me, that just signals 'same old-same old' following the pattern we've been in at that position for 20+ years. I won't go as far as to say I don't care about the cost to move up, but I'm close to that. I know the Giants don't regret the cost to get Eli, we will be looking at a similar price to get to the Rams pick at #2. Luck is in play as long as Peyton remains on the Colts roster because he will force a trade rather than sit.

I could see this. Either picking Blackmon or trading down some slots to draft someone else, then sliding back up to take Tannehill. I agree, the cost of trading up will be significant and I'm not sure we'd be willing to gamble that much.

Neither guy is going to be there by the time we pick.

How about Blackmon at 6, Jayron Hosely CB VA Tech in 2nd, and Matt Flynn?

I still beleive Luck is in play and the Colts are listening to folks. Some team is going to break the bank on that pick.
