Stand pat at 6 and see if a franchise QB is available at the time, if not, trade down and continue building depth.

Robert Griffin the III, Quarterback, Baylor OR Justin Blackmon Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State.

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

As this has evolved, I think I prefer the Blackmon pick over Griffin.

Elite Receivers help you get into the playoffs. Elite QB's help you go all the way. Granted if they decide Matt Flynn is their guy I'll root like hell for them to get Blackmon but RGIII will have a bigger impact on this team then any receiver in the league, including the likes of Fitzgerald, Megatron, and Andre Johnson.

What you say makes good sense to me; maybe I'm being short sighted but I want some of that immediate improvement. I want some credibility back and since QB's tend to be a dice roll, I think Blackmon is more of a sure thing that could produce a more significant impact.

FYI my local sports talk radio reported yesterday that Flynn is headed to Cleveland in some kind of sign and trade deal for three of the Browns draft picks.

Flynn is a unrestricted free agent. There would only be a signing, no picks involved.

Glad to hear you are doing well with your bought. Keep on fighting the good fight.

Yep. Didn't see any elite receivers on the Patriots 3 super bowl teams and wouldn't consider Plax or Santonio Holmes elite either. Wouldn't even consider The Colts WRs elite when they won it. Manning has made his WRs look better than they are. Just don't like the idea of burning the #6 overall pick on a WR unless they're in the mold of megatron or Andre Johnson. Would like to see some size line up on the outside for us. I'd take Jefferey later on. Even AJ Green is 6'4.

The washington redskins have traded the 6thoverall pick in 2012, their first overall in 2013 and their 2nd rounder in 2012 for the number one overall pick in 2012.

With the first pick in the 2012 NFL draft the redskins select Andrew luck QB Stanford

Did he not get a DUI? The Redskins need to stay away from drunks and pot smokers if they are going to progress. Don't you think we have enough on the team already? Character issues my friend.

My bad, they are both DUI offenders, stay away from both.

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

I won't be able to form a mental picture of what the Skins might do in the draft at least until after Free Agency.

I do know this much: I read a Mike Shanahan quote where he said that the Skins need to add playmakers in the off-season and I also read a Kyle Shanahan post where he said that the Skins need a Franchise QB. I think that those two things are exactly what they will try to do but I think, at this point, how the Skins will acquire those players is up in the air.

What if the Skins were to decide that Matt Flynn can give them what they want at QB and sign him as a FA? That would certainly affect their draft strategy.

What if the Skins were to sign either WR Vincent Jackson or WR Dwayne Bowe as a FA? Would they then focus more on offensive linemen in the draft?

What if the Skins were to sign FA OG Ben Grubbs as well as Flynn and either Jackson or Bowe? Would the Skins then go for the best player available or look to draft more defenders?

Right now, I just don't know what they'll do.

If I had to guess, I'd say that they will reach to draft the best available QB at #6 (probably Landry) because they won't be able to trade up for either Luck or RGIII. The Colts will keep the first pick and draft Luck and the Browns will give up both of their first round picks this year to St. Louis to draft RGIII.
