All you RGIII Haters out on this board are hilarious. You act like every play he is going run the ball. He will be coached up, one of the great things about him as a prospect IMO is that he is highly intelligent and from a military family (coachable). Shanny & son will teach him how to move in the pocket, buy time. My hope is that he becomes a something like a 2010-11 Vick or a faster version of a Steve Young . Runs when needed but focused on passing. His throwing motion is better then both Cam and Tebow comming out.

I think there's a lot of 'lumping' that goes on with RGIII, putting him in the same sentence as Vick, Young, Newton, McNabb, Culpepper... see where I'm going? He is going to make his hay in the NFL with his head and his arm, not with his legs. Those are a bonus but his passing is what is making him a consideration for a top 3 pick.

I literally don't know how any one can say they don't want rg3 after having what we had a QB the last 5 years

I'd take RGIII in a heart beat, I just don't really want the Skins to throw next years first and probably this yrs 2nd rounder just to swap spots.

So I've figured he will be gone by the time the Skins can pick. By the way what makes everyone think the team is interested in or even looking at RGIII. Maybe MS is looking at some other QB? Yet you will be all upset if he takes someone "he's" interested in.

^^^^^This is one of the most cogent and analytical postings of the year!

The Redskins have not had a competent QB - - let alone a better than average one - - for about a decade now. RG3 may indeed turn out to be a bust when all is said and done but the odds are that he will be no worse than any of the QBs that the Redskins have trotted out on the field for the last ten years.

He couldn't be a real bust. A guy like him even if he has the passing ability of Tebow has the legs and agility to at least be exciting to some degree. Can we even comprehend what "exciting" could possibly mean when it comes to our QB? I can't.

Many a college player has had a hard time adjusting to the speed and complexity of the pro game.....Heath Shueller , Matt Leinart,Rynn Leaf...etc.(sp)

5 years, you mean 20 years? With the exception of one good year by Brunell and Ferotte along the way.

No love for Brad Johnson? Our only NFC East Championship season since Gibbs I?

I stand corrected I almost forgot about Brad. I remember he lit it up for the first 10 games before he wen't down with that injury. Never was the same when he came back, that's probably why it slipped my mind.

Report: Colts Owner Will Never Trade Peyton Manning

Quote:
Irsay doesn’t plan on ever trading Manning. Instead his decision to either keep or release him will depend on Manning’s health in March and it’s a decision they’ll make together.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

Its the off season so that means I usually go into the hibernation til the draft and then go back into hibernation till pre-season. But I'm going to try to stick around this year.

I'm a frequent of the bleacher report, mostly for their list of cool things, but I came across this article. Just wondering how you all felt about it.

The Washington Redskins Should Trade Roy Helu to Get a Franchise QB | Bleacher Report

Bleacher Report is pretty much like the Onion in my opinion.

That said, I'd be willing to move Helu in pursuit of a high caliber QB. (via Draft)

I love Helu, but if we trade him and don't re-sign Hightower then RB becomes a need again.

Helu
2012 3rd rounder
2013 2nd rounder to move up 4 spots, worth it?
