Kyle Shanahan has already stated that if Hightower re-signs then the Redskins will actively seek out a fourth running back to the group. We have a power runner in Hightower A do it all in Helu A change of Pace in Royster In LaMichael James we will be the gamechanger He is not to be used as a traditional runningback. You can line him up and use him at multiple positions like a Percy Harvin, Darren Sproles, or Reggie Bush. James can be put in the slot. He would often be on the field at the same time as our other runningbacks. Defenses have to account for a player of his skillset and caliber. Making it easier for other player to get one- on- one matchups and open. Special teams- Goodbye Banks, Hello James. This guy has breakout speed and is dangerous in open space. I think we have the rookie wideouts needed our roster now, they just need to be coached up and seasoned. You could maybe add Eddie Royal to replace Moss and a big target like Bowe, Colston, or Jackson. However Hankerson can be that big target. Let's not mention our tighends in this equation. I think if your looking at James as a tradional back then you might be a tad shortsided in your thinking. If you see him a utility player than you can see the potiental

On top of that why would we want to short change ourselves on a decade worth of pro-bowl level QB play because we were determined to get a 2nd round RB? Be willing to pay the price. I mean don't give them 3 first round picks, but be willing to part with next years first round corner, Guard, or whatever that first round pick would turn out to be.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Sign Matt Flynn and draft Kellan Moore in the 2nd
Pick up an OL with the 6th pick, and sign 2 of the 3 receivers V. Jackson/Desean/Bowe and we're suprebowl bound. If the Giants can make it this far then so can we! We're just a QB and a stud WR away.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
If we draft a RB in this upcoming draft, I will drive to Redskins park and slap the shit of of Mike Shanahan myself. You think his skin is red now, wait till my five fingers meets his face.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I love how we're talking about using high draft picks on running backs when we have Mike Shanahan and two completely capable young backs here. Smart. I would do that if running back was the only hole on the team. But it's not. In fact, on offense alone, I would rank quarterback, wide receiver, starting right tackle, and backup offensive linemen a bigger need than running back. And if I threw in defense as well, I'd make starting cornerback and free safety a bigger need too. In short, if we had 7 picks in this upcoming draft, I'd use 6 of them on other needs before I even thought about drafting a running back.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I have the feeling that the RG3 will be a Redskin. We already know that the Colts will draft Luck and the Rams and Vikings have Bradford and Ponder so both Minnesota and St. Louis will be drafting at other positions. RG3 could easily fall to #6 where the Redskins pick if Cleveland takes Trent Richardson of Alabama and The Bucs take Claiborne from LSU.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I would sign Flynn or a free agent and stand pat with the draft pick or trade back if RG3 is gone. Don't morgage the farm for 1 player.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
You are basically correct. But we have wasted picks on far less. If we can get Luck by trading the farm we should do it. We can upgrade elsewhere slowly thru free agency and next years draft we can trade down some and get many good players to rebuild. If we can get Luck then it should be done.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Isn't it funny how the year started off with so many choices at QB and possibilities, and now it has shrunk to just RGIII or free agency?
