But look Hoyer is not being discussed to be brought in as the guy here. Neither is Josh Johnson or even Jimmy Clausen. Those are all essentially 2012 Rex/Beck replacements. Meaning backups...who may be pressed into starting duty.

I'm curious as to the level these QB discussions reach within the organization? are these just scouts just spitballing ideas or are these reports coming from meetings involving both shanahan and Allen?

This part of the draft process is so secret yet so interesting to me. I'm just trying to get an understanding of how it works.
