While both teams have great defenses, no doubt, it's also hard to take it seriously when wide open receivers are dropping passes and neither team can score a Touchdown for 7 quarters. Jefferson was surely not the guy to beat Bama & they knew that coming in as they've played him before. LSU needed a really good or great QB to beat Bama. To the credit of the Bama D, they intimidated LSU to such a degree that routine plays were rushed.
