Raheem Morris to the Redskins

People always seem to forget Morris was an HC for three years (not two) and he finished 3-13 his first year.

But anyway, as has been mentioned Morris as a position coach should be just fine. His problem as a HC was when he tried to hard to discipline a player the team was like "this isn't you, and turned a deaf ear" so then he would do outlandish stuff like send Brian Price home at halftime for a false start (or whatever it was). Point is, he struggled to effectively cross the line from "hey, I'm your buddy let's work on some drills after practice" to "you're five minutes late to the film session, you're not starting on Sunday"

Can't blame Morris cause the players were too young and immature. In the end the players let him down cause they didn't want to act like professionals.

We've tried underqualified at every rung on the organizational ladder over the last 20 years. Overqualified doesn't sound so bad at this point.

First I'm gonna teach you the 15-yd cushion off the LOS. I especially like to use this tactic when the opponent is faced with 3rd and 5.

True, but only later in the year......early on they were vulnerable - despite the strong, defensive start.

Once they got it together, the secondary was very good. There is more to coaching than technique, however.....this team kind of quit when they were eliminated from playoff contention.
