That's because this regime has proven that they can't get the players they really want and need. 2 years in a row the Shannahan's had to "settle" for the player they drafted. What are you talking about? 1.) You really think the Redskins settled Ryan Kerrigan, Roy Helu, Jenkins, Hankeson etc.? 2.) You're acting like the Browns have already traded up for RG3, they might but they haven't yet 3.)If Cerrato got the players he wanted we wouldn't be talking about RG3 because we'd already have our QB in Jay Cutler 4.) Why do people think this FO gave up some big amount to get Rex? He is not and never has been a long term solution

Yes we settled for Ryan Kerrigan(im not saying he's not good), that's why we traded back. You don't trade back unless the player you really wanted was already drafted. Roy Helu was a third stringer who only got to play when Hightower went down and Torrain was released, he wasn't drafted to be a starter. Hankerson, was a good pick, but Shannahan still sat him on the bench and allowed his old guys like Stalworth and Gaffney get a majority of the snaps. Without getting a franchise QB were looking at more 6-10 seasons for years to come.

The Shannhans have done nothing to prove that can acquire, draft, or develop an elite QB. I'm tired of everyone making excuses for the Shannhans ineptitude. I'm actually more pissed that we didn't get Jake Locker last year, someone who we could of dealt for and landed. Now we're going to have to "settle" for whatever 2nd rate QB is out there since the Shannahans are incapable of getting a true franchise QB.

By your logic, almost every team settles then because, particularly early in the draft it's rare you get your top choice...unless you have the first overall pick

But whatever clearly you're not thinking totally straight as you're getting all worked up over one rumor (yet somehow ignoring rumors that have the Redskins trading up for RG3 and even others that have the Dolphins trading up for RG3, and others that have the Seahawks trading up for RG3)...so we'll chat again when you've calmed down
