I would like to think there is still room for the Joe Gibbs philosophy, but I'm not sure about that. Probably never see his style replicated anyway, because in my mind, Joe Gibbs was one of a kind! |

Re: Around the NFL: Super Bowl Thread
Well, truthfully he should have won more than he did. Gruden took his team and won the super bowl and he only managed 1 SB with that loaded team in Indy.
It does seem that the Parcells, Bellicheat, Shanahan, Jimmy Johnson, Nick Saban type of coaches are more successful. I attribute that to they hold their players accountable unlike a Wade Phillips or a Norv Turner.

That he did, and you can't really take that away from him. I like the guy and I'd rather play for a Dungy than any of those other coaches I listed. Mostly because I would respond better to how he talked to me as compared to some of those other coaches.

Re: Around the NFL: Super Bowl Thread
One can say, he didn't win without the Hoggs.
![]() ...but yeah, to win the Super Bowl with 3 different QBs is pretty damn amazing.
