Michael Lombardi is saying the chatter at the Senior Bowl was the Redskins plan to sign Kyle Orton. As I think I mentioned in another thread, I've come around to liking that provided we add a couple of young QBs. Well he was awarded to the Chiefs so that means we did not put in a claim. Orton is a decent bridge option if we can't get one of the big 3 QB's(Luck,Bradford,RG3) I just think we would have claimed him and had a trial run with him in December if our interest was real.

This is probably the biggest draft for the Skins in over a decade.

This draft will define MS's career as a Redskin's HC.

There has definitely been a change at Redskins Park, this is probably one of the first years in many years that I am excited about the draft more then FA.

I doubt the Shanahans would mess with PM much, besides he's pretty sound fundamentally unlike DM who definitely had issues with his footwork his entire career.

That would suck if we went 0-2 in the aged veteran FA QB game. Especially if we could have spent a little more to get young talent at QB.

I think he is too much of an injury liability to mess with personally.

When I think about Elway and MS getting together in the late stags of his career, it makes me think MS is definitely dreaming about PM as a option.

Rebutting an ESPN report from Thursday evening, owner Jim Irsay tweeted early Friday that the Colts have not medically cleared Peyton Manning (neck surgeries) to play football in 2012.
It's clearer now than ever that Manning's camp fed ESPN's Chris Mortensen the news of his supposed medical clearance. "Peyton has not passed our physical," says Irsay, "nor has he been cleared to play for the Colts. Team statement coming on Friday." Colts doctors are reportedly worried about the nerves in Manning's neck and triceps. While Peyton is notifying interested teams he's healthy, the Colts still need the medical excuse to decline his $28M bonus.
