If I were the Skins, after he was released I'd offer him as a QB with the understanding he's helping to coach and when or if he's ever healthy he could start again. I just don't think he will be healthy enough and he'd be better served as a coach not only to assist with the young guys but he'd be another young coach to side with KS down the road plus all his knowledge of plays and routes.

If any of the reports are accurate & he's not anywhere near his old self, that is a blessing in disguise for him. He should bow out before risking anything worse.
I would think if anything, for us I guess it would be bad news if he retires Not because the Skins would go after him, it would just reduce the no. of scenarios & options league wide in the QB carousel. I'd still prefer to see him retire rather than play elsewhere or play to a lesser standard.
