If we hadn't drafted JC I'dve been all over Brees. And the huge risk thing is overrated. Yeah, he had hurt his shoulder. But it wasn't even being talked about as something that could end his career or keep him out long term. The injury was a short term concern.

Lets say Brees came here. He wouldn't be the QB he's become. Not here, not under this organization. He got with the perfect coach and a stable front office. People may not remember this but back in 04, Kurt Warner was out there. Instead the Redskins and Jow Gibbs decided to go with a past his prime Mark Brunell.
