Re: latest Doc Walker interview

Excellent interview

My favorite parts were:
"And to understand that the Dallas Cowboys have to be slayed ... because you cannot move beyond this without destroying Dallas. Where they are right now, they just don’t have that—it’s not there yet. But that’s what this [coming] season’s all about. Hopefully, you get that opener, and you build on it, and then you go down and end this ridiculous streak that the Cowboys have built, put this town back on your back and move forward—start climbing up that hill."

This alone would pick up the fans morale

And especially what Doc said ..........

"I tell you what—you better pack a lunch then, because this is not instant oatmeal. This is old school. You’re going to have to be patient. But believe me ... any time you can put Renaldo Wynn in uniform, and Rock Jansen, and Chris Samuels, and Randy Thomas and that offensive line ... when you can do that, you don’t have to take a back seat to anyone. It’s about your offensive and defensive lines. When you look at last year and what [Cornelius] Griffin did, and how he led a charge ... And he was not alone, I really believe Phillip Daniels, healthy, is going to rock people’s minds—he’s going to be a force.

And I still believe that if [Derrick] Dockery just understands how dominant he could be—and it’s all on him—I tell you what, this league is in for trouble. Because when your offensive and defensive lines start having the kind of competition and competitiveness that builds greatness from within—that’s the team to me. Everything else is necessary—you do have to have it all—but I tell you what, this is where it starts. And of course it’s low-fanfare, and it doesn’t have a lot of hype, and you can’t sell a lot of jerseys ... but you’ll win football games. And I believe that we’re really on the forefront of that—to where the offensive line and the defensive line are going to start to take this team over. "

It's all about both sides of the lines.......and this aint instant oatmeal......gotta have patience Gibbs needs to undo what wasn't done right .... :thumb:
