Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Or maybe there are reasons why he was a 7th round draft pick.
Would you have any concerns about giving him a big money contract based on little we've seen from him? |

Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
None whatsoever. He's had one brilliant game out of 3 or 4 total, so using my completely logical theory that means he's worth a 5 year, 100 mil contract with 50 mil signing bonus. Lock it up!

Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
Smootsmack, has there been any mention of Ponder or Sanchez?
I can't imagine MIN is willing to give up on Ponder yet, but M n M just discussed the possibility of them drafting RG3. If MIN were to draft RG3, I would hope the Redskins would take a long look at Ponder. I could see Sanchez leaving the Jets though, and while I've never been a huge fan of him, he's certainly shown he has talent at points in his career. |

Sanchez? Yeah, for sure if Manning goes there.

Second point, my thinking is that the market for him is more in line for a medium money contract. He has not earned a big money deal yet, which is part of the attraction in my mind. Why cant the Redskins take a player on the way up, instead of one on the way down (i.e. Peyton Manning). Bottom line, I just fail to see the logic of ruling him out altogether as an option right now. |

Re: QB Apocalypse: The Seventh Sign
I agree that there's legitimate concerns about Flynn but I could care less about his draft status. Holding Flynn's draft status against him to me is like not dating a girl because she was chubby in High School.

![]() Actually, if she was chubby in high school chances are she'll be fat as hell when she gets older.
