Quote:
And I think that they'll at least make an attempt to sign Kyle Orton before they lock on Brandon Weeden in the draft. I say Weeden not because I believe in him, but because of all the guys who will be there when the Redskins pick in the second round, he's the only one that isn't mechanically flawed in some way. So there's no projection, it's strictly plug and play, which is what the Redskins are looking for with Orton.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
My prediction for QBs heading into camp:
Robert Griffin III, Kyle Orton, and Josh Johnson.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
Funny you should mention his name, I was in DC this weekend ran into
Antwaan Randle El, Marcus Stroud, and Marques Colston. What are you guys doing here I asked them. "We're taking a business class at GW for the offseason." "Oh ok good luck! Marques, we want you! come to the Skins." MC " Haa.. we'll see man" Randle El "They'll definitely pay you! HaHa HAA." we all laughed and went our separate ways down china town

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
I gotta imagine if Cleveland takes Flynn, and Miami Manning that RGIII falling to six is all but certain.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
With the Vikings and Rams targeting Khalil and Blackmon would they want to drop to the 12-20 spots is the case. Everyone has a price yes but not everyone is Atlanta Falcons stupid.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
No but the Bucs or browns could drop that far to pick up extra picks. They do pick before us. Who knows what can happen? The Seahawks or chiefs could trade up. I am saying if we want him we better go get him and not wait for him to drop.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
True. I'm for trading up but if Cleveland takes Flynn I'm about 90% sure Blackmon is a Brown. Bucs apparently love Claiborne, but I agree go get him. If I was the GM the trade would be unofficially official around the beginning of April lol.

^Sure. As much as I like RG3 and Luck. I know that it takes more than just a "franchise" QB to win a championship.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
This is the time of the year where every agent, team exec, team scout really amp up their embelishments, exxagerations and half truths.
Everyone is telling stories with varying levels of truth to each in an effort to create value for their player/client, or their draft position, or to glean information about how different teams or scouts rate their client, or other prospects. Each part of the chain is dependent upon the other for their information. Yet everyone knows that they're not at liberty nor are they expected to be completely honest. A scout might tell an agent something (that may not be true) in exchange for something that agent tells the scout (that may not be true) the scout then talks to a reporter/journalist/media member and tells them something 'off the record' (that almost certainly isn't true about a prospect or about their teams plans) the reporter then confirms this story with an agent (who will say virtually anything to increase his clients value). Story gets printed in a newspaper or blog or article. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. Last edited by 30gut; 02-20-2012 at 02:46 AM. |

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
I swear I just love how fans seem to think they know what the other teams will do.
Browns getting Flynn? why? he'd be better served to go to Miami where his former coach went to. PM to Miami? I doubt it. Seattle? I doubt it. Browns? their a hexed franchise. Redskins are about the only team who can out bid everyone and still pick up other FA's. Plus look closer to the playoffs vs. some of the other teams needing a QB. Unless he takes chump change to go to the Giants to be with his brother. Hoyer will cost a draft pick. I'd make the trade if it was a late round pick like a 4th or later. Other wise keep the draft picks. Orton, please don't get me started. Orton couldn't beat out Grossman in Chicago. We'd be better off keeping Grossman due to him already having knowledge of the scheme. |
