Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
Somewhat guilty. My point is I'm putting what I think will happen, and also trying to point out rumors of what other teams are interested in doing. I'm not looking at others and because I don't like their opinion or rumor turning around and calling them names......Vinny.
I once said I wouldn't put it past the Rams, Vikes, Bucks, and Browns to want RGIII and want to make a play for him along with the Skins, Dolphins, and others. I got laughed at but now we are starting to see reports of what I suggested. I said there will probably be a bidding war for the #2 pick and got laughed at and told RGIII will fall to #6. When I say "yea good luck with that" its because I feel hes wishfully thinking. Too many teams are interested in RGIII with all the media talk about him.people would be better served finding a flaw in RGIII and or something he's done wrong so his stock falls and he drops to the Skins or playing up Tannehill so interest turns to some other QB. But in any event for those who simply think all we have to do is go up and get him go out and spend a little time on other teams message boards and you will see the same talk there as here. They want the RGIII also and feel hes the only QB worth drafting and they should drop their whole draft to get him. |

orton is much more careful with the ball. that goes a long way with a defense like ours.

I can see most of those scenarios, but Orton and Campbell?? I believe with the way they played last year, they will get a shot to start somewhere. Orton to back up Bradford, and Campbell to Cutler, that isn't a competition that is pretty much saying they are the backups. Campbell and Orton will get a shot to start somewhere, or at least compete for the job. |

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
If Cleveland wants RGIII, we have no chance. The deal that St. Louis could make with them is just too perfect for the Rams to be refused.
Here's why I say that. When I watch the Rams play, the overwhelming impression I get is that Sam Bradford gets no pass protection whatsoever. Pass protection is by far their greatest need. They must get a Left OT in this draft. If the Rams deal with Cleveland, picking up two first round selections (#4 and #22), they'll get a LT and more. Possible scenarios for the Rams after a trade with Cleveland: 1. Vikes take Blackmon. Rams take Kalil. Rams trade up from #22 to get OG DeCastro or stay at #22 and pick OC Konz. Rams pick best available WR in 2nd Round. 2. Vikes take Kalil. Rams take Blackmon. Rams trade up from #22 to get Martin. Rams pick OG Zeitler in Round 2. There are many other possible scenarios, but I think you all get my point; with the #4 pick, the #22 pick, and more from Cleveland, plus their own high 2nd Round pick, the Rams could go a long way towards solving their OL problems and improving their WR corps. They would still get either Kalil or Blackmon (or they could draft Reiff) at #4. That's not counting what they might be able to do in FA. For example, what if they signed Carl Nicks in FA and then drafted Kalil and DeCastro? That OL might become the best in the league after a couple of seasons. Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
A guy decides to bring his new blonde girlfriend to a football game. After the game is over, he asks her if she liked the game.
She replies: "Oh it was great, I loved watching those men in tight clothes, but there is one thing I don't understand." "What did you not understand ?" And the blonde says: "Well, at the beginning of the game, both teams flipped a quarter to see who would kick off first. Then the rest of the game everybody was yelling get the quarter back, get the quarter back, get the quarter back. So I thought to myself, gosh it's just a quarter!"

I would assume he takes a backup position or asks for his release.

Re: Eight QBs and Where The Latest Rumors Have Them Going
Holmgren has already said he was bringing in competition at the QB position. Bringing in Flynn doesn't change the status of McCoy, it would be competition for the starting position. Also, bringing in Flynn wouldn't make him the unquestioned starter, and that would probably be the case anywhere he went.
