Even Luck going 2nd but Luck chose to stay in college. It wasn't until after the Combine that Newton started making headway. I think he pushed himself with the interview with Gruden.

That was two years ago. Some people thought he would have gone ahead of Bradford in 2010. Last year it was actually considered a bit of a reach when Tennessee took him 8th.
