Aside from finally getting a franchise QB it gives Shanahan the QB he needs to be successful on offense it also gives the team a safety net if Shanahan fails as a coach and needs to be replaced. I mean can you guys imagine having to scrap the entire offense AGAIN? We've spent all this time looking for zone blocking lineman and one cut backs, to have to go back and replace them while looking for a QB at the same time, safe to say it would be a disaster. What I learned from Michael Vick in Atlanta (ie having an insanely athletic QB) is even if he sucks at playing QB you'll still win games. I just can't imagine a situation where RGIII fails to help us win games outside of medical reasons.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
What we need to happen is this
Miami signs Manning Drafts Tannehill Cleveland signs Matt Flynn The price for RG3 becomes a lot cheaper. And our chances of keeping orakpo become better.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
At this point the NFL is a QB League and you have to do what is needed to get ur guy. We are more likely to find another Orakpo than an RGIII or Peyton Manning. This year we have our chance to get legit player at the QB Position, we need to take. No more set backs. No more chances on non elite talent at the QB position, it is too important.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
I'm gonna guess the Falcons. The need help rushing the passer but it's not an obvious choice.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
The Falcons have no first round pick. If they traded any of their other picks they'd have no draft left.

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
I think it's also the fact that people were doubting he would run that fast or actually clear 6' 2" that has people talking so much. Couple that with his (by all accounts) stellar interviews and the hype is obvious.
oops, forgot they traded away the farm last year.

i like williams, but i don't see a need for him here. i see a greater need in the secondary

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
If the Texans don't keep Williams, he'd likely go to a 4-3 team.
