I think if we presented Peyton with an aggressive free agency plan he would be less concerned with what we were doing with the 6th overall pick. He also knows the position and can probably watch one practice and realize that Tannehill is not a threat to his job any time soon. It would not be the same message drafting RG3 or Luck would be IMO.

Someone's going to be the third best quarterback in this draft though. If it's not Tannehill that's worth the sixth pick, it will be someone else.

Don't think the best receiver (Blackmon? Floyd?) is better than the 3rd best QB The best T (Kalil) won't be available at 6th. Unless you're saying the Redskins sign Manning and trade up to 2. Then shock the world by drafting Matt Kalil

I dont see it. I saw Tanny play 3 or 4 games this season. I was never impressed. I dont think he is better than Foles. but hey its just an opinion. I think you can start RG3 and obviously Luck. Id take Blackmon over Tanny at 6

Eli and Peyton were the only ones taken first overall. History tells us that it's highly likely that one or more QBs taken AFTER Luck and RGIII will go on to have similar or better careers. Why not Tannehill? Anything you think you know from their college tape or combine workouts could become irrelevant in a few years. It's like they said in the Brady 6 documentary. No one could crack open his chest and look at his heart. What makes me laugh are the comments about long ball accuracy, arm strength, mobility, etc. it's all mostly BS. No one here knows for sure.

Seriously no matter their individual physical skills I could see even Weeden, Tannehill, or Cousins having a better year then Luck or RGIII based off of possibly their teams OL protection or WR play or if their team has no run game. That's if all were to start. |
