I Like Clausen as a 3rd but not as our main prospect. I don't like the lower round QB route. The historical odds of hitting on one of those guys are severely stacked against it. Even 2nd round QB's are mostly busts. I think we need to come out of this draft with a serious QB prospect. We are going into year 3 of Shanny/Allen...the time to say "oh well the QB we want didn't fall to us so lets wait another year" is long gone. I love Manning...but he's 36 or 37 and coming off an injury. We don't know for sure if were gonna get 5 games or 5 years out of him.

Sorry I meant Manning and one of these guys...and then next year (ode to Dirtbag) we get a Barkley, Jones, Wilson, etc?

I think were about out of "next years" to push this QB issue off to. This will be the 3rd straight year we did that. And if Manning actually gives us a decent season we will have no shot at Barkley. We think trading up from #6 is expensive...when we are picking in the teens or 20's it will be impossible.

It's not Shanny/Allens fault since they more or less just got here, but i have been a Redskins fan for 35+ years and they have not had a franchise QB for about 30 of them. I am done with it. Manning being an all-timer clouds the water...but I always get back to thinking that this horrible QB cycle needs to end and it needs to end for longer then 2 or 3 years.

Theres no way we get a draft Pick next year high enough to select Matt Barkley or even Landry jones

We'll be high enough to pick Jones. Tyler Wilson is probably the guy thats going to shoot up draft boards. Of course the team with the number 1 pick is going to be bombarded with questions about weather Barkley's arm is strong enough to make all the throws in the NFL and if he'll be another USC QB that either completely bust or ends up a flash in the pan.
