I'm increasingly getting the impression that what I heard the first few months of all this is the real story re: our interest in RG3. It maybe it's that I got burned at the very last minute by a usually extremely reliable source re: Gabbert that I'm now hesitant

I'm under the impression that a lot of this Redskins going all in for RG3 is being leaked by the Rams camp and thats not to say that the Rams are lying but it does serve the Rams better then it does the Redskins for that info to be out there.

Still my mind keeps on going back to this story.

Washington Redskins president of operations Dennis Greene was overheard telling people at a Washington Economic Club luncheon today that a new quarterback has been chosen, “and fans will be elated.” Greene said the mystery player’s name won’t be revealed until April, when the NFL draft occurs.

By itself it seems suspect as did the Haslet story but with all the information coming out from the major media outlets to support it and Smoot's guys telling us pretty much the same thing, well safe to say it feels like a pretty safe bet if there ever was one.

I had inferred from the info given to me that our interest in moving up was only for Luck, and not RG3. That the RG3 buzz was more of a smokescreen

Appreciate it.

I had this crazy theory last week, that the Skins might possibly be pushing the RG3 hype train in hopes that Indy will hop aboard, and prefer RG3 plus picks to Luck. Thus leaving Luck wide open for the taking.

Who's to say that intel was wrong? Three of the ES insiders had made the exact same claim you did last year. Maybe they just got a offer the couldn't refuse and decided the extra players were worth more than what they had Gabbert rated as. Either that or they are putting info out there for the sole purpose of throwing people off.

Who knows for sure. I had thought since mid-October DE/OLB (kept thinking Quinn specifically) and was told the interest in Gabbert was zero...then suddenly a source close to Kyle Shanahan says otherwise and everything flips.

Anyway, I've got information overload right now
