He does have the potential to play at a all pro level though. He just hasn't done it.
So pretty much shutting down demarcus ware every meeting isn't good? How can u guys say he's bad? I don't get it, is it the weed that people fall back on with Trent? He's a top 10 left tackle in the NFL folks period

As for JPP? Who doesn't have trouble with him?

I also remember Williams having a bad ankle/ knee inj early in the season not to mention we lost our LG and TE early . I still hope we draft 2 linemen this month .....

My post was not intended to bash Trent Williams. He is not a bad tackle. I think he did about as good as a 22/23 year old tackle can do with his assignments. He is definitely our best offensive lineman and I anticipate him being better this year since he is a year older -- he should be wiser and significantly stronger. I definitely like his passion.

All I was saying was that with that #4 overall pick in 2010 I personally would have selected Eric Berry at Safety over Trent Williams at Tackle. Eric Berry is better at his position than Trent Williams is at his position.

My original point was that our priority should be on the OL, regardless of the fact that we are weaker in the secondary right now, because we are bringing in a franchise rookie QB. Up to now, I have not been at peace with selecting Williams over Berry but now that RG3 is coming, I can begin to heal after watching us pass on Eric Berry to bring in Williams because Williams' role is even MORE important than before.

If, however, a rookie franchise qb was not on his way here then I would still be struggling with our decision to take Williams over Berry.
