He seems a bit lightweight for a TE. Unless he's bulked up in the offseason. Aren't most TEs in the 240s and higher weight range?

I think this makes sense , if Paul can play WR and TE in certian packages it would give us some flexibility with playcalling .

He essentially plays the same position in the offense as Fred Davis (a position that's never on the LOS in a 3 WR set), so that would make some sense.

Paul also played some TE late last season when Paulsen was the no. 1 guy.

And it's not like Niles Paul would ever play in 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB personnel. So try not to think of him as the prototype in-line TE. It's just an interior receiver.
