Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3

It's funny to me how everyone's grading the 2012 draft before seeing them on the field or even practice (did you say practice?). I think it would be safe to say that the grades given right after the 2011 draft class was way different than the grades given after the season was over. Even the redskins 2011, I would bet that those that closely followed the team - would've given a different draft grade after seeing only one player in a real game: Jarvis Jenkins. There was no doubt that before his injury - he was well worth the 2nd round pick that the redskins used - which some analysts thought during the draft was too early for a player like him.

... I would also go one step further and say that the redskins had one of the better draft classes in 2011 from top to bottom.

Does Shanny have a post-draft presser coming up anytime soon?

I keep holding my breath that Green's son does not get taken and we can invite him in as a UDFA.

Sons should be avoided. Secretariat, while he is a horse, is a prime example of that being greatest doesn't mean the offspring will be as good as the daddy.

I know I'm a noob, but holy s--- do you use the word "great" too much. Not a personal attack, it just takes away some credibility. There's no great players left.

I like our draft this year but researching possible picks for the redskins is impossible because they always take people no one knows.

They drafted 3 offensive lineman to fit a zone blocking scheme.

The offensive lineman the Skins draft aren't going to be the big physical freaks that get all the hype.

We drafted an outstanding linebacker. Anyone who follows college ball knows bout Keenan Robinson.

Secondary depth and Kirk Cousins is a bonus. Solid A grade in my opinion.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3

Grade: B+

Best Pick: RG3- hopefully he's our franchise QB for the next 10 years.

Worst Pick: Jordan Bersteine- Had to pick someone; 1 year starter, frequently injured in college, athletic (ran an unoffical 4.33), but not a playmaker.

Sleeper/Could Surprise: Tom Compton- good size, athletic, smart, tough an could replace J. Brown at RT this year or next year; very underrated, good value/need pick.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3

I heard of the first two linemen we picked, of course RGIII and Cousins being in MI. I have heard of Robinson, but not the last lineman picked or the DBs. I like the draft and will give it an A for not having a second round pick. The linemen we drafted should be beasts and if not starters at least give us some good depth. Same goes for the DBs.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft Day 3

Grade is an A+. Quantity doesn't matter. RGIII's impact more than makes up for it.
