wow, this is very sad on a lot of different levels. I'm not sure if anyone agrees, but as we learn more and more of the after effects of concussions/brain trauma, it's making it harder to enjoy the NFL as a whole.

I fear that in that too distant future, there will be a movement to ban the sport all together.

Yeah i agree theres too much money involved. However if a few non-BCS states banned highschool / little leauge football that could create a big issue for the NFL.

IMO what will see is raised awareness of parents. Parents will wait until at least High School to let their kids play full contact football. I don't think an elementary school child should be exposed to repeated blows to the head that full contact football creates.
