It is my understanding that each trademark would have to stand on it's own. If that is correct, then I can't see them issuing a trademark on his name. Obviously his likeness is a different matter. I can certainly see them issuing it on RG3 & RGIII. Just because you apply for one, doesn't mean it gets issued.
