Never ever draft a shanahan running back in fantasy. Even if you're forced to have one of these guys as a backup starter, you wont need to draft any of them high. Hightower might be drafted late, and Helu will only be drafted by Redskin fans. I want to be in a league where someone drafts Royster.

Word of advice, stay away from players on teams you personally route for.

Helu, Royster, and Hightower

The jab, the cross, and the uppercut.

Helu = jab- quick, effective
Royster = cross- mixture of speed and power
Hightower = uppercut- bruising, powerful, and the finisher

I like Helu the best by the way

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

I like whoever is fitting in best with our blocking schemes and RG3. I tend to want more speed on the field with RG3 theoretically. So Helu is prob my favorite...but I'd also like our QB not to get killed so Hightower is probably our best bet in terms of blocking. Can we bring back Portis just to block for RG3?

I really liked what we saw from Royster. He's not a big play guy but he consistently grinded out nice chunks of yards. Helu needs to stay healthy. I think all 3 guys can play significant roles.

Re: A question of style: Evan, Roy or Tim?

I need to see Helu and Hightower take a full season of pounding. Much as I like both of them, I think each may end up being less than a full game, 3 down back. Royster is solid and gets the yards available and maybe one or two more occassionally. Not exciting but keeps the chains moving - that's an important skill in a RB.

If Helu can keep healthy and improves his vision - he strikes me as the playmaker of the bunch and so should be the 1st option with TH as a 3rd down/first off the bench guy. Royster comes in after Helu, RGIII and Garcon have built a 28 point half time lead to pound the opponents into submission.

JR, the nice thing is we don't have to have one back taking the pounding all season. I'm just excited to see our running backs not tripping over their own two feet.

Re: A question of style: Evan, Roy or Tim?

To avoid being redundant, I'll take a different spin on each of their strengths...

Hightower-His best attribute is effort. He's not the fastest, not the quickest or shiftiest. He also doesn't do anything GREAT but he does lots of things really well. He's got a nice short distance burst so he can get through holes. He catches well enough to be conscious of but not concerned with as a defense. He's is a tenacious blocker which is all effort and technique. He sets up his cuts well by maintaining good balance.

Helu-His best attribute (other than speed) is getting the extra yard. It took me a while to come around on this part of his game last season but I noticed that almost every time he falls forward. Getting that forward lean and push can get a few extra yards per game and extend drives. He also has excellent balance but his main shortcoming leads me into Royster's strength...

Royster-His best attribute is vision. He seems to find holes and cutback lanes better than either Helu or Hightower. With our scheme, holes appear and disappear quickly and a runner needs to be able to make a quick decision and hit it quickly. Royster showed that ability as his carries increased. He lacks home run speed or elite balance and fell at a Portis like rate. If Helu had his vision or Royster had his athleticism, we would have a superstar.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Royster does tend to lose his balance a lot, hopefully he can improve on that.

He's got CP's disease. It just took CP 5000 yards to lose his balance(get scared).

Evan, Roy or Tim? or....... RG3! RG3 will end up with more rushing yards than the other 3.

Re: A question of style: Evan, Roy or Tim?

I agree Ruh. I want to see him with a strong passing game and the threat to kill you with his feet. Strong arm, accuracy, vision, timing, and defense diagnostic skills to go with some speed that can kill you in the open field and move the chains.

I tend to agree with every one's assessments on the RBs. I like all three, and each bring something different to the table.

So is Morris moving to FB? I have not seen it confirmed.
