It doesn't matter who you surround yourself with, it ultimately matters what you do. Nixon surrounded himself with Chicago-style and conservative economists and then enacted Keynesian wage and price controls in the 70s. Case in point.
Sounded like ownage to me.

Romney: Releasing tax returns would violate my religious privacy - The Plum Line - The Washington Post

Quote:
I’d add one more point here: One of those calling on Romney to release his returns happens to be ... a very prominent Mormon. As you may recall, Jon Huntsman Sr., a longtime Romney backer and fundraiser, has publicly told Romney that he needs to release his returns in order to be “square with the American people.”
Mitt...Mitt....Mitt..

So Huntsman a Mormon has no issues with it religiously, but not Mittens does?...lol

My crazy conservative friend thinks Romney sucks and is still going to vote for him...lol I call him crazy because he's still harping about birther and marxists stuff.

I gave specific points, policies, and executive orders that square with what I've stated. You've supported your argument with nothing more than talking points....as usual

Proper context from Huff Post:

"Ironically, Mitt Romney's father George, the one-time governor of Michigan, met with Alinsky in 1967 to ask his advice about addressing the racial turmoil following that summer's Detroit riots. "I think you ought to listen to Alinsky," the liberal Republican advised his political allies (see T. George Harris' Romney's Way, 1968). "It seems to me that we are always talking to the same people. Maybe the time has come to hear new voices." When this anecdote surfaced earlier this year on the right-wing blogosphere, conspiracy-minded extremists used it as evidence that Mitt Romney had also, like Obama, been infected by Alinsky's influence."

George Romney, who supported the Civil Rights movement, consulting with Alinsky, who was deeply involved in fueling civil unrest, to find a peaceful solution to race riots in Detroit in the late '60s far from makes Mitt Romney a far-left radical or Alinsky supporter. Nor does it change Alinsky's far-left ideology.

So it sounds like, correct me if I'm wrong, George Romney who met and embraced Saul Alinsky and his Mitt Romney weren't "infected by Alinksy", but Obama who never met the man, was a child when he died, was influenced by this so called radical ideology? Mmm..okay

How could Obama, at age 11 or so, pick up an anti-colonialist, far left radical ideology. He wasn't even in High School, Sammy? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

Wrong answer. Presidents submit budgets, Congress passes budgets. Obama has submitted a budget every year, Congress passed the first one in April/2009.

I thought the president's job was to created a budget, propose it to congress, pass it through the house, pass it through the senate, mediate the house and senate conference, and finally sign it.

...still, the US is still running without a budget...pretty amazing huh?

Your talking about the American Jobs Act thats suppose to do the same thing as the last stimulas of 800 billion that didn't work. Why keep throwing money down the same empty pit only for Obama to use it to buy more votes.

C'mon FD, UAW, Solyndra, Abound, Tesla, Fisker just need a little more gov't cash to create jobs and turn it around. You'll see, Obama and the gov't did build that!

You're telling my 40% tax cuts didn't boost the economy?

Are you saying the thousands of teachers, policeman, and fireman that weren't laid off didn't help the economy?

Have you ever seen a bridge or a road that fixed itself?

Re: 2012 Presidential Election (free for all edition)

Obama is doing a AMA on Reddit. Holy crap...lol

https://twitter.com/BarackObama/stat...03767350968320

I am Barack Obama, President of the United States -- AMA : IAmA

Quote:
Hi, I’m Barack Obama, President of the United States. Ask me anything. I’ll be taking your questions for half an hour starting at about 4:30 ET.

Proof it's me: https://twitter.com/BarackObama/stat...03767350968320

We're running early and will get started soon.

UPDATE: Hey everybody - this is barack. Just finished a great rally in Charlottesville, and am looking forward to your questions. At the top, I do want to say that our thoughts and prayers are with folks who are dealing with Hurricane Isaac in the Gulf, and to let them know that we are going to be coordinating with state and local officials to make sure that we give families everything they need to recover.
