Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Nah. I don't want to have 0 second rounders for the next 2 years in addition to the 0 first rounders we don't have for the next two years. Plus what's to keep Harvin from doing to us what he's currently doing to Minny? Not to mention the migraine concerns he's had in the past.

I dont think Minny would honor his request, but he is talent. Runs the ball, catches obviously and he would solve the kick return issue. Shanny would love this guy.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Really feel like we're already heavily invested in the WR position this year. Way too much downside on this for far too little gain, imo.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Completely agree. But I think it is a really fascinating 'what if' discussion. Just like the Talib scenario. Worth discussing, but ultimately, unlikely to reach fruition.

So without any first rounders the next 2 years, you want to also give up 2 second rounders as well. Between you and The Goat, I don't know which of you I want to knee in the nuts more.

Seriously, I hate as much as you all do when people mention ridiculous trade ideas or FA signings that you know won't pan out cause of many factors (old, was in a contract year, etc, ) The reason why I mentioned Percy is he is a very, very good slot WR, something which we don't have. He is very young (24). He is very fast and physical. He can also run the ball which gives us another demention. I feel like for a first..NO. For a second, thats one that would sting, but pay off. For a 3rd, I'd do it without hesitation. It was a good thought earlier about having him on our team. EDIT: After I posted that I read that Percy threw a weight at Brad Childress. So now I wouldn't give up anything more than a 3rd which isn't much for a player of his caliber. The Childress thing is wishy washy and every player seemed to hate him... but yeah.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
hmmm i dont know and wouldnt send a 2nd for Harvin, but I bet there is a player the Skins would send.
Percy Harvin is the much better Eddie Royal we couldnt sign in the offseason. This is a YAC type, big playmaker.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Our FO has been working wonders with draft picks the last 2 years. I think we can get a bigger impact from the picks than Harvin. We're deep at WR already.
Griffin was worth ANY price we could have paid, but we need to support him now.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
My hope is that Robinson turns out to be that shifty, speedy slot receiver that we need. All indications from OTAs and minicamp point to that assumption. We'll see once the pads come on.

That's an intelligent comment.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Robinson could and probably should replace Banks as the return man too.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
Why are people talking about Robinson? He didn't even dress for a game last year. He'll be cut midway through preseason, as will banks.

Re: Around the NFL...Offseason Style
I'm only talking about Robinson because the people that are allowed to witness the practices won't stop talking about Robinson. Same reason why we all talk about Minnifield, really.
