turn to family and friends, have them spread your resume around like the plague. have them send it to coworkers first, colleagues, their friends, etc.

this is the email that got me where i am:

whatever it takes to get the foot in the door. now i'm cracking skulls, taking no prisoners, yelling at the receptionist, pouring hot coffee on anyone who wrongs me, etc.
