Doesn't Eli already have a 100 million contract? Another Super Bowl win or not, you can only devote so much salary cap space to a qb. From what I understand, Eli is already making elite qb money.

It might be close but I don't think so also I thinks he redid a few things to help out with cap space a year or two ago.

Reports: New York Giants Restructure Eli Manning's Contract, Gain $6.75M In Cap Space « CBS New York

NEW YORK (WFAN) – Eli Manning led the Giants to a Super Bowl title in 2011. It appears he’s doing his part off the field to help ensure a repeat run.
Manning has agreed to a complicated restructuring of his contract which will create $6.75 million in cap space for the Giants, according to multiple reports.
$9 million of the quarterback’s $10.75 million salary for 2012 will be guaranteed, the New York Daily News reported.

That's fine and all but he's already getting paid elite qb money. Are you going to restructure his contract every time an elite qb signs a huge deal to ensure he's the highest paid qb? I'm just saying his 100 mil contract is pretty recent, I wouldn't feel pressured to do anything about it until the deal is about to expire.

Eli isn't close to being the QB that Brees is. That's why SB wins doesn't really show you who's a better player. Shows you who is playing on a better team.

Very true, but remember this is a QB driven league, and the giants were good because of their QB running their offense. Cruz, Nicks, Bradshaw, Ballard would be nothing if it weren't for Manning. David Carr was their backup. You think that team would still be good with Carr as their starter? I think the Saints with Chase Daniel would still be a good team, similar to the patriots with Cassel. Brees is the 2nd best QB in the league, but to say Eli isn't close to being the QB that Brees is, is not correct. Because people judge players on Super Bowls. Eli has 2. Brees has 1. Keep in mind that Bree's offense is more pass happy where as the Giants is more balanced.
