It's ironic. It makes them more and less vulnerable to theft. On one hand they're most likely being tracked with GPS unlike a paper playbook which can be handed off or copied without leaving a trace. On the other hand you find the right guy that can work a computer and in one fell swoop someone can hack into an opposing teams playbook. Sure you still need someone to decipher it but it's an odd trade off in terms of risk.

That was my first thought when I saw that teams were moving to digital.

I can definitely see Jerry Jones and Belichek hiring hackers to steal playbooks, lol.
