Sounds like RT is a revolving door at this point and regardless of who plays it won't give Griffin consistent protection. If this "scenario" remains constant over the season and Griffin takes a pounding I sincerely hope the current regime gets run out of town ASAP.

I'm a fan first and a student of the game to a (much) lesser extent, and yet I know that protecting a rookie QB, especially a guy you want to be a superstar, is a basic necessity. How does a coaching staff and GM, remunerated to the tune of millions, not address this before July?! You can disect the decision-making and debate whether it's a matter of hubris, or unrealistic expectations, or whathaveyou, but the bottom line is this isn't how a roster should be managed by any regime, let alone by "legacy" guys.
