It cost Gailey a challenge in order to get the ball placed at the 4. That shouldn't have happened.

Guarantee if that happens to us when the games count we'd all be annoyed about it.

They only got the punt return call right AFTER Chan Gailey was forced to use a challenge. In a real game, and situation reversed (us using the challenge for a painfully obvious errant call) this board would blow up. How can you say they didn't make any bad calls, when they called a punt a touchback when it was CLEARLY down at the 4, isn't that by definition a bad call???

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

I only got to watch up to Garcon TD and then later the 4th quarter, but it was exciting nonetheless.

And I know everyone here hates bleacher report but i think this is a good read on the standouts and recaps a lot of the things many of you and other people are saying:

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

I was pleased with how RGIII played, but I was mostly interested in how Cousins was going to play to be honest with you. I have concerns about our depth at a few positions on the team. I think KC's teammates let him down a bit with the dropped passes, but KC needs to work on his timing a bit.

Also, wtf was it with all those passes going to Brandon Banks? All for naught too.

For some reason, Grossman and Cousins thought Banks was a 6'2" receiver.

Definitely didn't like the Garcon flip. No need for that right now

When we drafted him, I thought Crawford would be one of those "damn, he sure is trying his best but he just can't keep up physically" kind of players. Seems I've been wrong. Though it does seem to characterize Brandon Banks somewhat

I think the weak link on the line yesterday was actually the guy with the most experience. He's valuable as a reserve, but I'm not sure the team fully benefits from having Will Montgomery starting right now

Kirk was average. Work in progress for sure

I had the chance to talk with Chris Baker a couple of times last year. You could tell he was pretty passionate about putting in the work and he wasn't going to give up on being an NFL player. So good for him that he's doing so well.

He was a beast out there.

I took it as meaning the repetitions and mental aspect were tougher.. plus he has to go against a D that knows the O. I found the same to be true in football. Kind of coincided with KS saying he wanted RG3 to go out and "have fun"

Evan Royster - Thought he looked slow. May be a function of the fact that (1) he did not see some holes; and (2) there were very few holes. In any event, poor showing.

I'd like to see Helu running with the first team. Yeah Royster didn't look all that great and for some reason we kept running to the right....I guess to test that right side of the line.

I wasn't very impressed with any of our running backs. Morris was the only one that shined through, and he was going up against third and forth string guys.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

Cousins is a work in progress, as to be expected from a 4th rounder. But I think he's a keeper. I'm so psyched that we appear to have our QB situation nailed down for a long time to come.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

Players who stood out:

1.RG3
2.Garcon
3.Crawford
4.Wilson
5.Rak and Kerrigan off the edge rush
6.1st team Oline in pass protection
7.Baker

Honorable mention: 1. 1st team secondary played well against a no huddle, hurry up, which threw 14 times against them. I thought the results were pretty decent. 2. McRib looked good. 3. Josh Morgan caught some tough throws

Stuff I didnt like:

1. BB playing receiver
2. Rex
3. C Griff
4. Eric Cook
5. Terrance Austin is garbage
6. Niles I thought was disappointing

What I like to see more of in the preseason:

1. Briscoe at WR
2. Alderidge returning kicks
3. Cooley at TE
4. Barnes playing at CB
5. Where was Jarvis Jenkins?

I can't agree more. I really want to see more of Briscoe.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

I'm pretty happy with Mr. Fancy Socks, the future looks bright.
I agree the Garcon flip was stupid.
The defense looks pretty good.
I wish our kickers could have had some field goal oppurtunitys to hash out that position.
Why didnt Helu start?

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

Just heard on ESPN 980 that Chris Russell is reporting/speculating (sometimes it is difficult to tell) that, as it stands now, Cooley will likely be released but then re-signed for less money because he doesn't want to play anywhere else. FWIW.
