I think since he is a vet, he isn't placed on waivers.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

I was mostly impressed at the fact that RGIII was going through his reads, not just getting the ball snapped to him and throwing to the first receiver he sees. He looked off of Garcon before hitting him for a nice gainer. He made some good reads and quick decisions. He really didn't look like a rookie out there. Of course, I want to see how he looks against the Bears defense next week.

I think Coach Shanahan wanted to see how well that right side would run block - which is why you saw a lot of running plays to the right. They have some work to do, as Royster couldn't really find any running lanes. And of course, all the passes to Banks is to evaluate his chances at making the team as a wide receiver. He has the speed, but he looked awful out there. I know a few of those passes would have been difficult passes, but you gotta do the impossible if you're going to make the them. I was extremely impressed with Crawford - both in coverage and with his punt returns! I was also extremely impressed with Hank on that one catch - the big guy has some moves and he's going to be exciting to watch this year!

My simple observations: Cut Banks and RGI now! Just do it!

Along with a lack of scores by the B&G, it was a sloppy game. Especially RGI and Banks. The OL wasn't great, just ok. Our team did just enough to win, and the Bills Offense looked like it was going on only 2-3 days of practice. Our secondary was ok.

On one hand I'm glad that RG3 played as well as he did and that we saw Cousins struggle a bit. Honestly it's easier for us media wise if RG3 shows his flashes and establishes himself first before Cousins starts to show his promise. With that said I was surprised at how much he struggled. I mean he was just forcing stuff left and right and struggled to find any semblance of a rhythm. I know its early but it makes me wonder if Cousins will ever be the type of preseason hero that tempts a team to part with a day 1 or 2 draft pick a couple of years down the line.

I could be wrong, but I believe part of it was the coaches telling Cousins to target Brandon Banks a bit more. Cousins is going to struggle, no doubt, but I did see some potential in him. I think eventually he'll be a strong backup for us.

Re: Skins/Bills postgame

Grossman still has value as the #2.

Cousins isn't going to be ready for that this year.

Disagree, if RG3 goes down our season is toast, no need to let Rex win us 2 games. Why not let the youngster play and learn on the job for possible trade bait down the road. Part of Cousins problem was he had to use Banks as a primary receiver, I think some of that was by design from the coaches to see if he can play WR. We shall see, 3 more games to play for Mr Cousins.

Rex has value as a short term starter. Obviously if RG3 goes down for the season, it might make more sense to start Cousins but I think it would also depend on where the team is at in the standings.

Lose the locker room if you give up on the season that early. What would they playing for? Why would they want to stay here?

He's only a typical Dallas fan if he has never set foot in the state of Texas.
