Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions
I don't believe Brown would be eligible. Besides, the difference between time missed for reserve PUP and IR is negligible

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions
Lol at Helu being in worse shape than Hightower.
Not only is Hightower coming off an ACL tear, he was outperformed by Helu and Royster last year. He's the weakest link.

I'd keep an eye on Larry Asante if the Bucs actually do release him

Apparently, according to Wikipedia (the most reliable of all sources) he has been released.

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions
What about the final cuts at WR? If Robinson doesn't make the team, they can always place him on the practice squad. But another team may claim him. Banks should be in. If Kyle Shanahan can find ways to use Banks on offense, then he can be just as explosive as he is a return man. I would say that Banks made the team. Dezmon Briscoe has been a pleasant surprise. All the dude does is score TDs. He showed during the preseason that he can get open. Anthony Armstrong came on too late in my opinion. He did have that 46 yard grab last night but I don't see how that is enough to measure against the other wide outs competing for a roster spot.

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions
I would not want to be Shanahan right now... With Banks' speed and return talent, it seems like a hard cut to make for a team that was 6-10 and then 5-11. He's a threat every time he returns the ball. It's the body of work from the other games and training camp that's a concern and he is small and he's got things to learn at the wide out position. He actually played some running back in college so the wildcat option is real for the Redskins should they decide to pull a play like that.
I bet Shanahan keeps more receivers than the general public thinks he will keep. Hail. |

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions
Here's the Redskins' (meaningless) Week 1 depth cha... on Twitpic
I not qualified enough to say how much one can read into this but, It seems like Morgan has outplayed Hankerson and Moss will be the primary slot WR. LT depth is hanging by thread. Royster will have to show and prove he can be thee featured back. |
