Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions

they had a QB on the PS last year because they only kept 2 on the active roster. If they keep 3 (i cant imagine they won't) why waste the spot on the PS?

They will keep Hightower because they think he is such an all around back. I don't always see it either except for third downs but he will make the roster.

Great prediction...however, I think they may make room for Paulsen and Banks...perhaps by cutting another LBs like Kehl and another Oline, like compton or brown

I think this is pretty spot on.. I'd take Brown off for Willie Smith (Brown won't get healthy) and I doubt we keep 5 ILB (Hightower is making the team, locked) but otherwise it's tough to quibble with your 53. I wish Dougty and Barnes weren't on the roster but it is what it is.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: 2012 53 man Roster predictions

the problem with not keeping hightower is that royster is the only other RB they really trust to pass block right now, and if he gets hurt, well, that'd suck for girffin.

Yeah but a runningback's first priority is to run. Hightower is by far the worst of the 4 runners we can go with this season.

Maybe 20 year's ago. Today with teams passing so much more than running a RB has to pass block and run routes as often as run with the ball.

We have a rookie QB, we better not be adopting the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning style of offense.

Only the Broncos, Texans, 49ers and Jaguars ran more than they threw. It's just not a running league any more.

hightower is better overall factoring pass pro.

btw, morris didn't have a good night. he had 2 good runs, but ended up with 10 rushes for 34 yards (3.4ypc) AND he whiffed on major wright, which resulted directly in the griffin fumble. You can't have one 20 yard run, 8 0-1 yarders and a sack fumble in 10 plays. that's just not getting it done.

I'd take hightower over that any day.

I suggest you re-watch the game.

why? am i wrong? nfl.com doesn't seem to think so, and here's someone else who found the missed assignment and a quote where he admits he f'd up:

Morris said, “he got me there,” referring to how the veteran threw him off.
so, uh, what exactly did I miss or misrepresent that would be worth watching that again?
