Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Weatherford is a punter. In my experience the kicker/punter receives the most disrespect from his teammates. I seriously doubt that he did not understand the consequences for posting this. I think he understood. I would not be surprised if on some level he WANTED this to be seen.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Sounds to me that Coughlin is more upset about that being put out on social media than anything. Especially since Coughlin has had several meetings with players specifically about using social media.
Don't think he is mad about the act itself. He just wants what happens in the locker room, to stay in the locker room and not show up on Twitter/Facebook/YouTube etc etc. Can't help but admire that. |

Buffalo Bills release veteran LB Shawne Merriman - ESPN
I remember when some Skins fans were foaming at the mouth to trade for this guy(after his injuries). Dude is a former shell of himself since the injuries.

Dunno about admiration in this case, but this kinda stuff is common for better or worse, right? I could just see Goodell getting involved in this for appearance sake if nothing else. Player safety. Player safety. Player.... Lord help us all if there's an accident from something like this. |

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Ironically this might be the most tragic part of the Seau suicide.
Junior Seau's system found to have no alcohol or illegal drugs - ESPN The autopsy said Seau's brain didn't appear to have any trauma. His family has donated some of his brain tissue for research. Lots of mixed emotions when I read that. Obviously the first one being that he didn't have to die. Second one being that his death may have been from nothing, as theres a strange sense of honor in what he did. But of course then theres hope that if this falls through and he didn't have any damage then it'll show that not every player with a long career will have to worry about head trauma after their career which of course brings us back to the fact that Junior needlessly died for virtually nothing.

Ha. Correct thread postage.
Vick and his ribs, tisk tisk. Looks like 3/4 of the NFCE have O-Line issues.
