Yeah I agree. Ever since the 2008 draft with Matt Ryan(3) and Joe Flacco(18), its been pretty much expected that your Rookie QB should go in and start day 1 and not look like a 'rookie' anymore. Then you have Mark Sanchez taking his team to the AFC championship game in his first 2 years and Matt Stafford playing ridiculous when healthy and Josh Freeman looking good his rookie and 2nd years. There really hasn't been a QB since 08 who hasn't done well on his team and played awful like Rookies have in the past. Robert is going to be starting for us week 1 and I expect him to look like what these rookies in the past have looked like (Matt Ryan in 08), and not looking like Tim Couch of 2000.

Freemon has only had one good year though, and Sanchez sucks. But I agree with what ur saying.

Just for the record i was being sarcastic about the short leash with rg3. I agree with what ur saying. If i remember correctly couch looked horrid in the preseason - maybe had one good game. Ive already seen enough out of rg3 to know hes better than tim slouch. The deep balls will come with practice. Unfortunately some of that practice might be reg season games due to the lack of preseason playing time. Im all for it though. No injuries and no real look at our offense for opposing defenses. Im excited as hell for week one.

New England Patriots, tight end Aaron Hernandez agree to extension, source says - ESPN Boston

Paying big money to 2 tight ends? Hrmm....guess that means Welker is odd man out.

Re: Around the NFL Preseason week 3

Hey SS, or anyone else who might know, who determines the preseason schedule?
I just noticed the ravens had game 3 last Thursday and will have game 4 this Thursday, but the Skins just played on Saturday and the next game is on Wednesday. That just seems odd to me.

NFL has final say over it. Teams and networks make requests but it's up to the NFL

Brian Westbrook to retire as member of Philadelphia Eagles - ESPN

Much respect for this guy, always thought he was a class act. He torched the skins a day or two but he backed up and dropped trow on the Cboys every time they played!!

The Kevin Kolb experiment bites it!

Skelton beats out Kolb as Cardinals starting QB

Drayton Florence, Joselio Hansen, and even Ryan Harris likely on our radar when teams can start claiming tomorrow

Harris would be a great addition. Really help with the depth at tackle.

Either of those CB would be better than C Griff. Im really interested to see if Crawford might jump to the 3rd CB slot, maybe sooner than later.
