Could the Baltimore Ravens Part Ways with LT Bryant McKinnie? | Bleacher Report

The Ravens apparently have O-Line issues at tackle and for them to cut him is pretty bad. Later in the year, if need be, we can pick him up. Me? I prefer we go straight out of Compton for depth at tackle.
Other than showing up to camp overweight (which he fixed quickly) I don't think there were any issues other than money. That being said, I don't think he's a good fit for our line.

Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure Polumbus wasnt rated at all, and if he were, he'd be around 200. I know McKinnie isnt "ideal" for our scheme, but he's got to be heads and shoulders better than what we have now.

Imagine if we could trade a draft pick to the Ravens for right tackle Michael Oher. There would be zero concerns at right tackle. But the Ravens would never make that trade.

Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread

For a guy that's had issues with conditioning and his weight, a zone scheme where the lineman are constantly on the move probably isn't the best fit.

That sucks seemed like the front runner when the camp started and a good family guy. I am assuming his injury got him cut which he did while playing with his kids.

And just like that, the Ravens and McKinnie agree to a contract restructure so he stays a Raven

Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread

Tannehill probably would have won the job anyway. They're not going anywhere this year, might as well get RT the experience.

I agree but it sucks DG is out of a job; not necessarily the starter. he seemed like a good guy.

Is that kind of deal allowed?

That would be nice especially with Mara and Goodell's BS collusion penalty.

I like the Sex Cannon, and I'd trade him for that.
