Also is there a thought out there that they are willing to risk releasing Tim Hightower before week 1 only to resign him after game 1 so they would not have to guarantee his contract for the year?

If they clear waivers and are eligible then yes. Good question on Hightower. I'm really curious on what they plan in doing with him. I might see him this weekend. If I do, I'll ask

Looks like the Dolphins kept Slaton on their 53 man roster. Like others have said, probably not a huge loss. I'd rather have a CB anyways
