Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

This is a Saints team that is a SB contender playing with a chip on their shoulder. This looks like the Bears preseason game to me.

Saints 38
Skins 13

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

The saints are without their head coach, an offensive genius and saints offensive play caller. They're also without their interim head coach, a former linebackers coach joe vitt. Their head coach for the game is Oline coach Aaron Kromer.

I'm not going to say the saints are suddenly going to be garbage because of the coaching situation, but it definitely will be a factor. Payton will not be involved in game planning and he won't be calling plays and making crucial decisions. It's not like drew Brees is Peyton manning and serves as his own defacto offensive coordinator and play caller. The saints will probably start out strong and have a decent halftime lead. But well make better adjustments at halftime and outscore them in the 2nd half. Whether we win or not depends on how much of a lead they got in the first half.

My prediction: Regulation ends with us tied at 30. We win the coin toss. Banks takes the overtime kickoff to the house. Final score: 36-30 redskins.

I will be VERY disappointed if we only put up 13. I expect New Orleans to score 38, but I also expect us to be able to score 28 to 31. New Orleans does not have a good defense.

Watch the Baylor Vs. Oklahoma game and just change the uniforms, maybe a little less scoring.

Our D line will be the reason Brees can't get too pass happy.

28-20 Saints, I think we will play respectable, but you have to put your money on Brees against Cedric Griffic & DeAngelo Hall (especially if its close late).

Especially when you'll have Haslett getting all zero-blitz happy.

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

I just don't get how some of you guys spend all year talking about the skins and when we finally get to the season opener pick the other team to win. I know your "keeping it real" I say get real and pick the team you spend all your time talking about. Saints are a good team but we have enough talent to kick their ass in their house. I see little brees running around trying to keep from getting his head knocked off. Banks makes a few big returns and our new toy (RGIII) kicks a little as. This is his coming out party and I don't think we saw shit durn preseason.

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

key to the game is going to be our ability to counter punch. Being able to absorb a big play, quick score, etc and not getting overwhelmed. Our red zone defense is going to be key, hold them to 3 instead of 6.

We should be able to run the ball and we should do it often especially when we are on our side of the field. Use the clock.

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

One of the best, if not the best offense the NFL has ever seen against the mid to bottom level secondary. I am really nervous about this game, not to mention all of the hype from Bounty Gate and to add the topping to it all, its in there house!

Now with that said, my co-worker is the biggest Saints fan of all and he thinks they will hang 35 plus on us, I told him that I don't think they will put up 30 on our D...so I am going to stick with that and say:

28-24 Saints

Come on Skins prove me wrong!!!!

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

41 - 34 Redskins take it. Fred Davis has 3 TDs, and Josh Wilson has 2 picks.

Kerrigan with 3 sacks and 3 tackles for loss.

Its about time we start putting up points.....plus

New Orleans 27
Washington 21

I can see this being a 17-7 game at halftime and us making a second half push but the Saints have too much talent on offense. I don't see them blowing us out of the water though. Our defense is going be very stingy against the run I believe and will make teams earn every point. I will also go out on a limb and say this is the most a team will score against us in 2012.

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Skins vs Saints predictions

Why not start off 1-0 again ? We sack Brees 8 times , Banks throws a td to Moss and RG3 has a big game 275 yds , 2 tds and close to 100 yds on the ground and the " Saints come crawling home " ........ SKINS 29 AINTS 17 !

31-17 Saints.

Injury to one of our offensive linemen not named Trent. RG3 has one td pass, 1 td rush, and a fumble. completes 60% of his passes, and doesnt connect down the field on anything greater than 30 yards.
