Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread

We look like a college team with a high school offense. Why aren't we pushing the ball downfield?

As skins fans we should feel a bing of pain when we watch dalton. Could have had him and kept our future 1's

I didn't think Dalton has been that good. Just that the one thing our D has been good at this season, is making other team's QBs look great.

That's another argument against giving up so many picks. But I dunno. If Griffin really is that great QB we've been lacking, this pain may be worth it if we can build around him. Even if losing those 1s still hurts.

edit: Looked up Dalton. (From wiki) Dalton is the only quarterback in NFL history not drafted in the first round to start all 16 games of his rookie season, much less start his team's playoff game as well. Dalton became just one of five rookie quarterbacks with over 3,000 passing yards and at least 20 touchdown passes, joining fellow rookie Cam Newton and also Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, and Charlie Conerly. Among this group, Dalton is the only one to have at least 8 wins as a rookie and lead his team to the playoffs.

Pro Football Focus listed Dalton as the fifth most accurate quarterback in the NFL in accuracy percentage (percent completion not including dropped passes, throwaways, and spikes).

At the conclusion of the season, Dalton received the Emerging Player Award from the NFL Players Association during the NFLPA PULSE Awards. The other nominees for the award were Newton, New Orleans TE Jimmy Graham, New England TE Rob Gronkowski, and Detroit DT Ndamukong Suh.

Dalton was named initially as a Pro Bowl Alternate in his first year, and was added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster after the New England Patriots won the AFC Championship, forcing Tom Brady to withdraw.[19] Dalton and Newton became the first pair of rookie quarterbacks to make the Pro Bowl in the same season.

Well ****.

It's on RGIII as well. I've seen him hold the ball too long on a few plays, mishandled a hand off, and never should have tried to option that pass. He's not helping out either as well as the OL.

He does not look comfortable in the pocket. Maybe him being on his backside the whole first half has something to do with that.

PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR A$$'S. We can still get in this game.

If I had Jordan Black blocking for me, I wouldn't be comfortable in the pocket either.

We have allowed exactly 300 yards on defense. How could anyone defend Haslett?

No one's ever ready to lose to a below average team.
